Board appoints Roger Updegrove to fill auditor vacancy through 2027

Roger Updegrove was appointed Dec. 16 to the Douglass Township Board of Auditors to fill the remainder of the term through Dec. 31, 2027; the appointment was unanimous.
Chairman Josh Stouch announced that Roger Updegrove submitted a letter of interest and asked if he would accept an appointment to the Board of Auditors to fill a vacancy. Mr. Updegrove agreed and the board unanimously moved to appoint him to serve through Dec. 31, 2027. "A motion was made by Mr. Stouch, seconded by Ms. Carpenter to appoint Roger Updegrove to the Board of Auditors to fulfill the remaining term of Rebecca Zern ending 12/31/2027," the minutes state.
The appointment was recorded by unanimous roll call (Bergstresser-Aye, Stouch-Aye, Carpenter-Aye). The Board did not identify any other candidates during the meeting and indicated the appointee will serve the unexpired term.
