The motion to authorize the engagement was made by Trustee Tyler McAfee and seconded by Trustee Michael Williams.
Chief Financial Officer Robin Martinez had provided the board with a copy of the engagement letter in advance. The approval was recorded as a unanimous decision with no abstentions or recusals, and followed the board’s routine review of auditor proposals for the annual fiscal audit.
The action was formalized during the regular agenda and will allow the firm to begin work on audit procedures for the 2025–26 year as scheduled.
