The Apache Junction Unified School District governing board approved a $12,150 software service agreement with Facilities Management Express LLC on July 28, voting 5–0.
Superintendent Dr. Robert Pappalardo said the system arrives at a lower price than the district—xisting solution and will provide real-time inventory, tracking of assets (models, SKUs, equipment locations) and a record of maintenance history that supports preventive maintenance and future grant applications. "This will provide you the inventory. You know how old things are, you know where the maintenance upkeep should be," he said.
Board members asked whether funds would come from M&O (maintenance and operations) funds and noted the district's M&O balance was negative about $400,000 at the time of discussion. Staff said the system should save money long-term and enable better compliance reporting; the board approved the purchase and asked for quarterly updates on maintenance needs and projected costs.
