The Liquor and Cannabis Board caucus paused its business to recognize Deputy Chief Jennifer Zubay for 30 years of service. Larry introduced Zubay's career highlights, noting she joined what was then the Liquor Control Board in December 1998, worked across enforcement units, led the tobacco tax unit and the marijuana unit, and helped build a tobacco assessment process that "brought in $10,000,000 last year," according to Larry's remarks.
Zubay accepted the recognition and reflected on her career path, saying the agency's mentorship and "family atmosphere" kept her at the LCB. She noted she recently became eligible for retirement at 30 years of service but told the board she has no immediate plans to step away. Board members offered congratulations and personal remarks following her address.
