Planner (speaker 8) presented the Specific Use Designation (SUD) update for a manufactured home park on the west side of North Fairgrounds Road. Staff described changes from the 2019 approval and said the updated SUD would allow up to 263 spaces; staff recommended approval provided the site plan be revised to show a secondary means of egress.
Chase Gardife (speaker 13), who identified himself as the property owner at 1320 North Fairgrounds Road and owner of a neighboring manufactured housing community, told the commission this project is a “sister project” to his existing community and that engineers are working to show the required easement and drainage on the revised site plan. He said the current submission is smaller than the original 2019 configuration.
No members of the public testified in opposition during the hearing. The commission moved to a motion to approve the SUD with the staff-recommended condition and recorded the motion as passed 5–0.
