Chariton council approves water-billing contract, small airport pay application and an excavator license
Summary
Council approved a multi-year billing-services agreement through FY 2031 for the Water Department, authorized Pay Application No. 10 for $422.25 on the airport project, and granted an excavator’s and drain layer’s license to Justin Fitzgerald.
The Chariton City Council approved an Agreement for Services between the Chariton Water Department and the City to provide billing for sewer, storm water and recycling fees through Fiscal Year 2031. The motion was moved by Council Member Stephen Fenton, seconded by Council Member Gary Shutt, and passed by unanimous roll call.
Separately, Council approved Pay Application Number Ten to McClure Engineering in the amount of $422.25 for work on the Chariton Municipal Airport Runway 10–28 Replacement and associated lighting and NAVAIDs, and approved an Excavator’s and Drain Layer’s License for Justin Fitzgerald of Russell, Iowa. All three routine items were approved by unanimous votes recorded in the minutes.
