"The VRC has done 1,295 VA claims, an average of 185 a month," the presenter said as he read the center’s figures.
The presenter provided a projected range for annual benefits the VRC’s work has generated for the community, saying totals amount to roughly $4,400,000 to $5,150,000 per year when combined with awards including DIC averages. Commissioners and Nevada Department of Veterans Services representatives discussed adding the VRC’s data into NDVS monthly reports so the center’s activity is reflected at the state level. The commission did not take formal funding action at the meeting.
