Survey shows strong resident demand for restaurants, entertainment and retail

The community survey presented July 27 showed clear resident interest in increasing sit-down restaurants and entertainment options in Pleasant Hill. The presenter said the top unmet development types were entertainment establishments, sit-down restaurants, arts and culture, and other retail.
Julie Stevenson noted the prioritization results: "72% of respondents said sit down restaurants is what they would like to see," followed by entertainment and retail. She recommended city leaders consider these findings for business attraction and zoning decisions, noting nonresidents ranked retail slightly higher than grocery and pharmacy while residents placed grocery needs ahead of boutiques.
