Staff said servers are already set up in the space and the plan calls for equipment load‑in once the elevator and final HVAC tasks are finished.
Staff projected a surface‑level completion milestone in mid to late August and a target date for the building to be ready for operations on October 1, subject to successful completion of elevator and HVAC work. The council and staff discussed how the project’s timetable affects security, IT infrastructure, and noncompliance windows related to the move‑in schedule.
Council members asked for caution about setting hard dates given vendor lead times, and staff recommended continuing coordination with contractors and vendors to meet the October target where possible.
