Chief Troy Weaver reported the Police Department has been contacting and notifying solicitors of the Village's ordinance requirements; he said many solicitors appear to be second- and third-party contractors working for Brightspeed and must obtain solicitor permits.
"We are monitoring activating the Snow Emergency Ordinance of no parking on the streets when snowfall is over two inches," Chief Weaver said. He also told the council that the Police Department received a $15,000 check from the Attorney General for officer training.
Councilman Keith Bacin thanked Chief Weaver for addressing the solicitor issue. The transcript records these updates as informational; no enforcement action or ordinance change was recorded at the Jan. 20 meeting.
