Council members were told the Safety Corridor construction is scheduled to begin March 1 and be completed by May 29. Mayor Bob Jarvis said a pre-construction meeting was held and that roads will remain open in each direction during construction, with at least a 12-foot lane maintained in each direction.

Councilman Keith Bacin raised two operational matters: that the recent Village newsletter used too many graphics making it hard to read, and that a 'no thru trucks' sign at State Route 97 and Castor Road is covered and may require ODOT permission to change.
Administrators did not present a revised construction schedule beyond the start and completion dates reported, and no construction contracts were awarded at the Jan. 20 meeting. The council noted the dates and approximate cost and will proceed with the project pre-construction steps already taken.
