The Rangely Town Council approved a hotel-and-restaurant liquor license for Milindo Halisco LLC, which applied on March 25, 2026 for premises at 35 Park Street. The licensing agent told the council that after resolving missing paperwork and receiving a certificate of good standing, an inspection on the 17th found working sinks, posted shelving and locked storage for excess liquor. The agent recommended approval and reported no code-enforcement violations.
When asked to state his name, the applicant's representative responded "Oscar." The agent noted concern about a lower-level north-side wall adjacent to an included patio and said staff would monitor that area if patrons created a problem. The agent also said the application included a petition with 72 signatures, 46 of which were local residents. The police chief, who was not present, had recommended issuing the license. With no public members offering comment during the two-minute public-comment window, the council voted by voice to approve the license; Chair called for ayes and the motion carried.
Council members said they expect the establishment to operate primarily as a restaurant rather than a full bar, and the licensing agent recommended bartenders take state-approved alcohol-server training if hired. The council did not attach additional conditions at the time of approval.
