Tree of Life dispensary expansion approved; operator cites local charity giving

The Planning Commission approved a special use permit to expand the Tree of Life retail marijuana outlet at 150 East Centennial Parkway.
Staff noted the application had been continued from May 13 and that there were no material changes. Jevons Wong, representing the business, described charitable giving by the operator: "Our main charity would be VMSN... we donate over 1000000 dollars to that charity," the representative said, and added the operator sponsors seasonal charity drives.
Staff recommended approval subject to standard conditions; commissioners voted to approve the expansion with those conditions.
