The board approved a purchase order renewal with vendor Midwest Tape not to exceed $30,000 for fiscal year 2027 to continue providing DVDs, audiobooks and the Hoopla downloadable-media service. Deputy Director Shelly Alexander described Midwest Tape as the district’s supplier for those media and said continued investment in digital collections is important as demand grows.
Trustee Givens moved to approve the purchase order and Vice Chair Acosta seconded; the motion passed by voice vote. The approval enables continued access to digital content for patrons and the district’s Hoopla subscription.
