Clinton County board amends wage bands and updates dozens of staff pay rates

The Clinton County Board of Supervisors on June 29 approved a series of amendments to county pay resolutions that adjust hourly and annual rates for dozens of positions across departments. Resolution 2026-157 (amending Res. 2026-144) lists updated rates including Phil Visser, Director of Conservation, at $103,916.80 annually and Jefferey Chapman, Director of Communications, at $46.60 per hour; the Auditor is authorized to issue biweekly paychecks on the appropriate funds.
Supervisors later approved Resolutions 2026-168 and 2026-169 to amend Resolutions 2026-157 and 2026-149 respectively, further updating pay listings for secondary roads, public safety and other staff. The changes include multiple patrol operators and truck drivers with specified hourly rates. Roll calls accompanying these resolutions were recorded as Irwin: Yes; George: Yes; Srp: Yes. The Board instructed the County Auditor to implement the changes and continue issuing payroll per the updated wage bands.
