Parks staff report 2.1 million Craig Ranch visitors in 2025 and $68.9M economic impact

Recreation Superintendent Chris Quaresma told the board that in 2025 the parks and recreation special events group supported approximately 140 events citywide, 84 of them at Craig Ranch Regional Park, which drew about 2,100,000 visitors last year. Quaresma attributed the delivery of those events to a logistics and production team that handles contracting, staffing and staging.
"There was a 140 events that the parks and rec... 84 of those taking place at Craig Ranch Regional Park, which also is a... award winning park that received 2,100,000 visitors in 2025," Quaresma said. Quaresma said the department estimates the Craig Ranch events produced roughly $68,900,000 in local economic impact in 2025 and projects about $80,000,000 in 2026 as the department plans about 100 events at Craig Ranch and 200 citywide.
