The Roxbury Board of Selectmen voted 3-0 July 14 to approve Warrant #14 totaling $25,687.66 and to authorize two immediate account transfers: $655 from savings to the operating account for legal fees, and $46,030.61 from the town’s TIF account to the operating account to cover TIF expenditures to date. The motions were made by Selectman Timothy Derouche and seconded by Ray Hodsdon; all votes recorded 3-0.
Selectmen also set a Special Select Board meeting for July 21 at 6:00pm to finalize the town’s tax commitment. Board members discussed freezing nonessential spending because the town had not yet received its Tax Anticipation Note and the bank’s processing timeline had lengthened. Town Administrator Renee Hodsdon suggested a temporary spending freeze while the funding delay persists.
