The community center was standing room only for the swearing-in of Chief Troy Finner; emcee Lynn Clouser noted there was 'a line to get in here' and thanked family members, elected officials and law-enforcement partners for attending. After the ceremonial portion, Clouser invited attendees to a brief reception with light refreshments and scheduled officials for photos.
Clouser told the media there is a designated staging area for interviews in front of the community center and that communications staff would assist coordination; she also reminded council members of a 6:30 p.m. city council meeting and asked guests to allow elected officials time for official photos.
