The Westridge Village Site Plan Committee approved a site plan for a new Midland Diagnostic Veterinary Hospital on a roughly 1.131‑acre tract on the west side of Loop 250 about 410 feet south of Thomason.
Planner Angelina Betanini said staff recommended approval based on the PD criteria and that departments routed the plan with no major objections. "This use is allowed within the zoning," she said, and reiterated that a traffic impact analysis (TIA) is required before any building permit may be issued.
An architect for the clinic noted that a planned internal access drive—being coordinated with TxDOT/city efforts—currently connects to the site but will be completed by the developer as a private access road. Eric West of Park Hill said the developer expects to submit plans to the city in about three weeks and confirmed the private access drive would be maintained by a property‑owners association. The committee also discussed sewer and water connections: sewer will be routed from the TradeWinds side via the private access easement and water extended from Loop 250.
The committee unanimously approved the site plan (motion passed 4–0 on the record). Next steps include submission of the required TIA and subsequent civil and building permit review.
