At its June 24 meeting the Richfield Village Cemetery Board confirmed that funding has been secured for the West Richfield Cemetery expansion and authorized engineering to develop cost estimates for asphalt, concrete, and grave markers. The board said the expansion project will be put out to bid once engineering estimates are complete.
Members discussed options for a new columbarium and noted that North Hill Marble and Granite can provide a unit similar to the existing one. The board also debated installing standard sitting benches, considered in-ground cremation spaces, and discussed using flower urns with name tags to manage floral tributes.
