Commission approves final plat for South Park Addition Section 8 in District 2

The Midland Planning and Zoning Commission approved a final plat for South Park Addition, Section 8 (a replat of lots including 407 East Montgomery and 410–414 East Hicks) during its meeting. Lori Elliot, the staff presenter, said the application by Magrum Consulting on behalf of Benjamin Luna and Renee Robles seeks to replat four existing lots into nine to allow future residential development, including duplexes and single-family homes. The property was rezoned to 2F on April 14 and the preliminary plat was approved Feb. 17.
"We do recommend approval of the final plat, and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have," Lori Elliot said during the staff presentation. With no public speakers in favor or opposed, Commissioner O'Field moved to approve the request, Commissioner Richardson seconded, and the commission recorded the motion as passing unanimously. The commission closed the public hearing and voted to approve the final plat.
