At its Jan. 15 meeting the Nye County School District Board approved several procurement and construction awards intended to support operations and capital needs.
The board approved purchase of a Kubota SVL75 compact track loader under the Nevada State equipment contract for $67,000; presenter Mr. Musselman noted recent rental costs 'have exceeded $35,000,' characterizing the purchase as a cost-saving measure. The district also approved awarding 200 Lenovo ThinkCentre desktops to YNS Technologies for $173,800 as the lowest responsible bidder (a bidder-name correction was recorded). For facility work, the Board awarded the roofing installation contract for multiple buildings to 702 Roofing LLC for $964,363.92 and approved purchasing materials from Garland Roofing Systems for $653,390.48; Cardinal emphasized 20-year warranties for installations and an extended 30-year warranty for the Pathways building and noted the district’s quarterly inspection program reduced reported leaks to three incidents.
