The Board of Trustees voted to authorize an additional $2,500 retainer for Fisher Associates to complete the village zoning-code draft and authorized the mayor to sign the memorializing document. The motion passed by voice vote after a trustee moved and another seconded.
During public comment, resident Liz Kormos asked how much Fisher Associates has been paid over the life of the zoning process and what remains to finish the parking code. The mayor said invoice details are included with past agendas and told the resident the village has paid “somewhere in the 90 to 100 range” (interpreted from the transcript as thousands of dollars over multiple years) and that editing rounds require payment as the consultant completes work. The mayor added that Fisher and staff will continue to complete outstanding editorial and draft tasks before the code is finalized.
Trustees approved the additional retainer as a targeted payment to complete pending items and to authorize the mayor to execute the documents memorializing the agreement.
