The mayor said enforcement will begin with warnings for a week or two and then proceed more strictly, noting that officers can issue tickets now under existing code. “They’ll be ordering some new ticket books, I believe, to issue tickets specific to it,” the mayor said, adding that current miscellaneous ticket forms also allow enforcement in the interim. The board removed the Millbrook listings from the schedule tonight to avoid immediate disruption and requested staff confirmation of existing signage and historic restrictions before reintroducing those entries.
The adoption implements the parking schedule pursuant to Village Code §192 and was approved by voice vote. The board also discussed staffing and the likely future use of a parking enforcement officer (PEO) to manage long-term enforcement.
