Commissioner Nathan Leiker moved to approve the request and the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The attendees named for this travel were Lieutenant Brennan, Deputy Dixon and Deputy Reese, who serve on the county Drug Enforcement Unit. County staff said vehicles would be provided by the sheriff's office and no additional per diem or mileage was anticipated.
The approved motion authorizes the sheriff's office to use opioid settlement funds for training and travel consistent with the request.
