County staff briefed the court on a series of land development items and the commissioners approved civil plans and plats for multiple subdivisions on July 28.
Ryan, the county's planning/engineering presenter, described Oakwater Shores civil plans in Precinct 3 and said engineering review showed drainage and infrastructure met county requirements. The court approved the civil plans and granted public‑improvement compliance for Lone Oak Phase 2 after staff reported road, drainage and water services were in place and a bond was forthcoming.
The court also heard a request for a family‑to‑family road frontage variance in Precinct 2 involving property adjacent to an old cemetery; a precinct commissioner said the lot configuration and topography limited future development and recommended granting the variance. The motion to grant the variance carried by voice vote.
The court tabled one final plat (Banks in Landroof Estates, action item 21) for additional review and moved it to the next regular session.
