West Milton manager presents draft strategic plan focused on tradition, accountability, legacy and joy

Village Manager Kyle walked the council through a draft strategic plan that builds on the village's 2022 vision: "West Milton is a welcoming, cherished community with a unique history, eclectic character, and pristine natural areas." He said the plan organizes four core values — Tradition, Accountability, Legacy and Joy — into goals and measurable benchmarks for financial, project and operational performance.
Kyle said the plan is intended to be meaningful and actionable rather than just aspirational: "I want very much for us to finalize this so we can utilize it for all the decisions we make," he told council, adding that the document will include timelines and benchmarks the public can use to hold the village accountable. He asked council and the public to provide examples and help refine the statements before final adoption.
