The board also approved the facility name as the "County Animal Shelter," instructed the treasurer to create a separate line item for donations, and asked staff to add donation and QR-code functionality to the county website for public transparency. One commissioner noted Manistique had agreed to share intake and form templates to speed startup and reduce paperwork duplication; volunteers will be recruited as the county seeks a longer-term nonprofit partner.
