Riley County commissioners approve three final plats, accept street dedications

The board acknowledged Planning Board approvals and adopted resolutions accepting final plats and associated rights-of-way for Sutton Estates, J and M Addition, and University Park Unit 16.
Planning staff presented three final plats and recommended that the Board of Raleigh County Commissioners acknowledge prior Planning Board approvals and accept dedications of streets, easements, and rights-of-way.
For Sutton Estates (combining Lots 9, 10 and 11 of Block F, White Canyon Subdivision), staff described the lot history, setbacks and easements and recommended approval. Commissioners moved, seconded, and approved the resolution to accept the final plat and dedications. The board then considered a second plat (J and M addition) involving a residential use designator for a portion of a larger tract and accepted the plat and associated rights. Finally, the board approved the University Park Unit 16 final plat, allowing the owner to build an accessory structure on the combined lot. Each action was moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote and signatures were requested on the mylars at the dais.
County planning staff noted that none of the three actions required rezoning and that the Planning Board had earlier determined all applications met the county’s land development regulations and sanitary code.
