OHM planner Adrianna Jordan presented a proposed DTW express route meant to improve speed and connectivity between northern consortium communities and Detroit Metro Airport. Jordan described running the express service along I‑275 with potential stops in Northville, Plymouth, Canton and at the McNamara and Evans terminals at the airport, and said such a route was "the number 1 thing that was asked for by residents in the consortium communities."
Jordan also suggested negotiating to add D2A2 stops at the Sheldon Road exit on M‑14 so existing Ann Arbor‑Detroit services could stop in Western Wayne County; she said a small number of D2A2 runs on I‑94 and an added Van Buren stop could connect that community to both Ann Arbor and Detroit. Panelists framed these proposals as suggested adjustments to SMART’s plan that would require coordination with SMART and property owners for potential stop locations.
