Supervisors approve water and electric hookups for new county cold‑storage

"We get all that copy of those $9,007.35," the chair said while explaining the project budget. Board members moved to award the electrical contract and the water hookup: motion by Travis, second by Steve to allow Standard Electric at $9,007.35 and to authorize the companion water work. The motion carried on a voice vote with no recorded opposition.
The chair noted those expenditures fit within the $200,000 budgeted for the Twin Pounds Cold Storage Building and said about $44,000 would remain from that line after paying dirt, building, water and electric costs. The board did not specify an exact construction completion date beyond the chair's comment that the building work should be finished "by Friday."
