Arden told council that 12 postcards were mailed to nearby property owners and a public notice was published; staff and the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval (PNC vote 5-0). Councilmembers asked whether the unit was already constructed and whether the meter request was a paperwork/permit issue; staff confirmed the dwelling was already built and the applicant sought a meter release.
Councilmember Weaver moved to approve and the motion passed 6-0.
The ordinance and permit will be processed consistent with the city's normal ordinance-adoption procedures.
