Planning intern Abby Napier summarizes summer projects for Clayton Planning Board

Abby Napier, the planning department's summer intern, told the Planning Board she has focused on the town strategic plan, staff and director interviews, and records organization during her internship. "My name is Abby Napier. I'm the summer intern for the planning department," she said, and described researching UDO amendments, helping update the development map and assisting with planning inspections.
Napier said one of her largest projects was organizing paper records in the department basement: "I logged and disposed of 40 ish boxes...and then now I'm working on digitization and organizing of those, the permanent files. I'm about 200 ish files in so far." Board members thanked her and encouraged her to return to local government after finishing her master's degree.
