Gilford details DPW building progress; bond 67% spent and new equipment approved

Public Works Director Meghan Theriault told the Board the DPW building project is advancing: "mechanical, electrical, and plumbing is making great progress," ductwork and sprinklers are being installed, locker rooms and restrooms are finishing, and drywall and painting are underway in admin spaces. She said Lyman Construction has demobilized pending utility hookups and that radio communications installation will start next week; topcoat paving is scheduled for Aug. 31.
Thériault reported the Town has spent $7,502,797 (67%) of the $11.2 million bond, leaving $3,697,203. The Board approved two bond‑funded equipment purchases: a wide‑format HP XT950mfp plotter from Imtek for $9,905 and a Karcher BD70/75 WBP walk‑behind floor scrubber from ALTA Environmental Solutions for $9,770; both motions passed 3-0. Office furniture delivery is planned mid‑ to late‑August, with admin move‑in set for the end of August and garage occupancy two to three weeks later.
