Board raises concern after public comments on continuous distribution stop appearing; staff to check website

Board members raised concern that public comments submitted in response to continuous distribution changes had stopped appearing on the public comment site after May 22.

"It's been 2 weeks since the last comment was posted, and then there was a bunch of comments posted initially," one board member said, calling the gap "not a good look" for the board and community. Brianna, a staff member, responded: "There is no suppression. There is no issue. If you are seeing the trickle in of comments coming, sometimes they come up with batches. It depends on when we get them and when they're queued up." She advised clearing browser cache and said staff would check with the web and communications teams.

Brianna said staff had implemented changes to improve comment turnaround and would investigate whether the apparent gap is a viewing issue for individual members or a system problem. The public comment period for the continuous distribution changes was reiterated to close July 3; staff reminded members that comments must be submitted through the official public‑comment mechanism for them to be part of the record.

The board asked staff to follow up to ensure posting is functioning and to consider adding a notice on the webpage if delays persist.
