Vice President Shelley Hall presented results to the board, saying, "60.6% of members participated in the election, which occurred from May 15th to 22nd." Hall announced that Bill Ryan — the current vice president of patient and donor affairs — and Dr. Kimberly Watt, the medical director of the living donor liver transplantation program at Mayo, won the contested offices.
After reading the resolution language confirming the officers to terms beginning July 1, the board moved to vote. The voting link was opened and staff reported, "The motion was approved. 20 approve, 0 reject, 1 abstain." Board procedure required officer candidates to abstain from voting; the measure passed and the chair offered congratulations to the two officers.
The resolution directs that each officer serve for the term stated beside their name and perform duties as set forth in the bylaws and applicable OPTN policies. The board also noted that formal ratification documentation will reflect terms beginning July 1.
