Diener said the city has upgraded equipment in its real-time information center and plans a walkthrough of the emergency operations center before the events. He described multi-jurisdictional coordination through regional groups (MARC and similar committees), hospital and transportation partners, venue security arrangements across 19 venues within the region, and a joint information center to route both public messaging and jurisdictional operational coordination. Diener also noted that out-of-area officers will have assigned responsibilities and that FEMA funds will help reimburse salaries, lodging and meals for prolonged deployments.
