North Las Vegas council approves FY26 year-end budget augmentation

The North Las Vegas City Council voted June 17 to approve the fiscal year 2025–26 year-end budget augmentation, a statutory housekeeping measure required under Nevada Revised Statutes to reconcile mid-year adjustments.
Justin O'Brien, budget manager, summarized the changes and said the augmentation reflects previously approved mid-year items: utility and capital project adjustments, grant-related revenue and rollovers, and other expenditures. He called out several notable adjustments on the detailed schedule: $16,000,000 of general-fund funding for fleet, $10,300,000 of parks rollovers for Craig Ranch and Perimeter Road, $10,700,000 for CIP IT rollovers, and $7,700,000 of ARPA dollars rolled into FY26. "These are items that have been approved throughout the year," O'Brien said, describing the augmentation as largely procedural.
The public hearing recorded no written comments, and the council moved to approve the augmentation on the council floor.
