Bonner Springs swears in Police Officer Christopher Phillips

City officials noted his prior service: Phillips served about 8½ years on active duty in the U.S. Army and began his law enforcement career with the Lansing Police Department. Mayor and council members thanked him for his service and said they look forward to his work in Bonner Springs.
No formal vote was required for the ceremonial swearing-in. The ceremony concluded and the council moved on to regular business.
