Council approves master-plan change for Sequoia Homes infill at Fusilier Drive

The North Las Vegas City Council voted June 17 to approve an amendment to the comprehensive master plan (AMP2026) to change the land-use designation at 4105 Fusilier Drive from single-family low to single-family medium to permit an approximate 16-home infill development.
Bob Groenauer, representing applicant Sequoia Homes, described the property as a less-than 2.5-acre infill parcel adjacent to schools and existing neighborhoods and said staff and the planning commission recommended approval. "We are looking to convert this into approximately 16 homes," Groenauer said. He added that the project includes open space and home sizes ranging roughly from 1,600 to more than 2,000 square feet.
Council members expressed support for the plan's street-facing homes as a traffic-calming design feature. The public hearing recorded no written comments and Councilman Churchill moved to approve the master plan amendment; the motion passed.
