Commissioners press contractor cleanup after new asphalt and rubble piles reported

Commissioner Rich Haidul reported finding a new four- to five-foot pile of asphalt at a corner on Trailview after clearing leftover material to prevent icing. Brian McCall and Tom Mason also noted leftover gravel and rubble at multiple repaving sites completed by contractor Good NU Dirtworks. Joe Geraci told the board he had spoken with the contractor and said cleanup was scheduled “this week,” and he will contact Kyle at the Gilford Department of Public Works to determine whether town paving activities contributed to additional piles (follow-up expected by 7/24).
The commissioners directed monitoring of contractor cleanup and a coordination check with the town. If town paving is implicated, the district will follow up with Gilford DPW to identify the source and responsible party for debris removal.
