OPTN board hears presentation on proposed DCD policy changes; vote expected at next meeting

PJ Garrity, introduced as the immediate past chair of the OPO committee, summarized the work group's review of public comments and the committee's decision to forward a redline proposal for board consideration. "We did review the themes ... and we identified whether there were additional policy language changes warranted or revisions, clarifications, or sometimes a rationale for no change," Garrity said, describing the path from public comment to the board agenda.
Board leadership said the redline was provided in advance and that the intent is to bring the proposal to the board for a vote at the next meeting, while developing implementation materials (training and interpretive guidance) to support operationalization. "The plan will be this will be brought, forward to the board at our next meeting, for consideration for approval," the board chair stated, indicating the vote is planned for the upcoming board session.
