Siren School District board approves multiple hires as staffing gaps persist

The Siren School District Board of Education approved a slate of hires and heard an update on continuing recruitment at its July meeting. Board members voted to hire Pam Lundeen for first grade, Max Kleeb for fourth grade, two paraprofessionals (Stevens and Armstrong) and a high-school social studies teacher identified as Kozak.
"My name is Aaron Fezzi," Principal Aaron Fezzi said while introducing himself and new staff and describing early work on staffing and curriculum after joining the district. Administration said interviews are already scheduled for the Native American student success coordinator and that multiple candidates remain under consideration for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten roles.
Board members asked about licensing and start dates for new hires. Pam Lundeen told the board she holds a short-term substitute license and expects to convert to a provisional or one-year license by the start of the school year. The board approved the hiring motions by voice votes.
