The superintendent told the Vernonia SD 47J board that evaluations are complete and that the district is renewing contracts for 100% of staff, with the exception of the one resignation announced earlier. "All evaluations are complete...We've got a 100% of our staff that we're renewing those contracts, with the exception of that 1 resignation," the superintendent said.
The superintendent also reported meeting with a senator's office and Columbia Health Center to discuss potential grant options identified through community surveys and empathy interviews, including expanded school-based health services and possibly a teen center. The district emphasized mental-health supports as a recurring community need gathered from stakeholder engagement.
