Mayor Wanda Irish reported that the city's copier lease expires at the end of March 2025 and presented two options: buy out the existing machine (which would require the city to pay for toner, replacement parts and repairs, with parts for the model soon to be discontinued) or lease a new copier with toner, replacement parts and service included in the monthly payment.
Councilmember Joe Cornell moved to lease a new copier; Charlie Shutt seconded. The motion passed by recorded vote (5 AYE, 1 NAY), leaving the city to proceed with a new lease that includes service and consumables coverage.
