Fiscal officer reports interest earnings and income-tax receipts at 74% of budget through June

Fiscal Officer Stacy Meyer presented the mid-year financial snapshot. She reported interest of $518.86 from the Thaman account for the month and a year-to-date total of $3,125.66; operating account interest was $14,875.94 year-to-date. Meyer stated current interest rates of 2.7% for the Thaman account and 3.6% for the operating account.
Meyer said income tax revenue through the end of June stood at 74% of budgeted revenue. She characterized utility accounts (water/sewer) as "on point" but cautioned that several wage accounts will need monitoring for the rest of the year.
Council received the report; committee review of finances will continue at the next Finance and Personnel meeting scheduled for Aug. 11, 2026.
