The Hickman City Council introduced Ordinance No. 2026-05, a recodification of the city's general ordinances, and approved the measure on first reading. Kelly told the council the city attorney had reviewed and approved language in the nuisance-abatement chapters; redlined chapters are uploaded to the city's document system for council review.
Council members were shown how to access chapters in the city's Spark documents and were told the ordinance will appear on the next meeting agenda for further review. "They're in your Spark when you log into the software," Kelly said, referring to the draft chapters and red lines. The measure passed on first reading by roll call and will return for subsequent readings before final adoption.
