Board approves conditional use permit for wireless tower at Frontgate Holdings site

The Planning & Zoning Board approved a conditional use permit (CUP 500) for Frontgate Holdings to install a wireless communication tower at an existing storage-unit site off Highway 85. Staff told the board that the plans provided by the applicant were consistent with other towers the county has approved and that a full set of construction plans and a building permit will be required if the CUP is approved. "They've provided the plans for you of what they're asking for and their plans that are included are consistent with other towers that we've already approved," Amber said.

Board members discussed conditions to attach to the approval; staff noted there were eighteen conditions in the packet and the board voted to include those conditions with the permit. After a motion and second, members voted by voice and the chair recorded the motion carried. The applicant will proceed to obtain required building permits before construction.
