CIP submissions due July 31; recreation center tops commission's prior list

The commission was reminded that Capital Improvement Plan submissions are due by July 31. Vice Chair Justin Burnell reviewed the projects the commission sent last year and asked whether members wanted to carry the list forward or change priorities.
Burnell recited last year’s ranked projects and figures: "new community recreation center was ranked as number 1 at 3,500,000," with other items including a Sawmill playground at $250,000, tennis-court resurfacing at $50,000, a Darrah playground upgrade (listed at $250,000) and a community stage at $250,000. The commission agreed to carry over the prior list but removed the Dara painting/pointing item pending further review.
