Litchfield Recreation Commission approves Cub Scouts dates, irrigation repairs and other routine items

The Litchfield Recreation Commission approved a set of routine operational items, including the June meeting minutes, multiple Cub Scouts facility requests and an irrigation-repair proposal.
Vice Chair Justin Burnell opened the meeting and guided votes through the agenda. The commission approved a rain date for a Cub Scouts event (Aug. 21) and granted use of Town Hall for an annual fall shooting-sports pack meeting set for Oct. 14 (5:30–10:30 p.m.). Burnell also called a vote approving a requested overnight Cub Scouts camp at Darrah Pond for May 21–23 (next year); commissioners asked that the group provide a copy of the required fire permit when it is obtained. On maintenance, Alliance’s invoice for irrigation repairs across several fields — $1,888 — was presented and approved as routine upkeep.
“All those in favor?” Burnell asked during votes; the chair announced multiple items passed by unanimous tallies reported at the meeting (several recorded as 5-0-0). Several agenda items that lacked assigned dollars or whose presenters were not present were tabled until the next meeting. The commission also set upcoming meeting dates and adjourned.
